Terms of service
Plain-language terms for every engagement with Wiki Authority LLC. Last updated 2026-10-17.
1. Who you are dealing with
Wiki Authority Group is the trading name of Wiki Authority LLC, a Missouri limited liability company, file number LC014770442 (“we”, “us”). These terms, the written source review, and the invoice for your engagement form the whole agreement. If a member of our team tells you something different, the written version applies.
2. What we do
We research whether a subject meets Wikipedia’s notability guidelines, write draft articles from independent published sources, submit them through Wikipedia’s Articles for Creation process from accounts that disclose our paid status, propose changes to existing articles through talk-page edit requests, and report on changes to live articles. We also produce media kits, pitch batches and website rebuilds as described on the Services page.
3. What we cannot promise
Wikipedia is written and reviewed by volunteers. We do not control whether a draft is accepted, how long review takes, what a live article says, or whether it stays up. We make no promise of publication, timing, placement, ranking, or any outcome on Wikipedia or in search engines. Any fee you pay is for the work delivered at that stage, not for a result.
4. Disclosure and your name
Wikipedia’s paid-contribution policy and the Wikimedia Terms of Use require us to name our employer and our client on our user pages and on the talk page of every article we work on. By engaging us you agree that your name, or the name of the organisation you represent, will be published there. We cannot work anonymously and will not accept an engagement on that basis.
5. Your part
You agree to give us accurate information, to check drafts for factual accuracy, to approve or decline them in writing, and not to edit the article or draft yourself, recruit others to edit it, or contact reviewers about it while we are engaged. You may always correct a factual error about yourself through Wikipedia’s own channels, and we will tell you how. You confirm you have authority to engage us on behalf of any organisation named.
6. Fees and stages
Fees are fixed and stated on the invoice. New-article fees are billed in stages, set out in your written quote: a start payment, a payment on your written approval of the draft, and the balance. The larger part of the fee is billed only after the page is live. Existing-article work is billed in stages, set out in your written quote: to start, and when the requests are posted. Other services are billed in the stages stated on the Services page. Payments are processed by our storefront at payments.wikiauthoritygroup.com.
7. Refunds
The refund rule on the Refund page is part of these terms and applies to every engagement. A volunteer editor’s decision never triggers a refund.
8. Drafts, revisions and resubmission
You keep every draft we write for you, whatever the outcome. We revise a draft until you approve it. If a submitted draft is declined, we resubmit it at no extra charge for as long as each resubmission carries a real improvement; when we conclude in writing that nothing more can be improved, the engagement ends and the final stage is not billed.
9. Monitoring
Where a package includes monitoring, we send a monthly report of every edit, tag or nomination on the article and what we propose to do, for the period stated. Monitoring is reporting and proposing. It is not control, or a promise that the article will remain unchanged or remain live.
10. Conduct on Wikipedia
We will not edit a live article about you from any account, use undisclosed accounts, remove maintenance tags, cite material you paid for, or contact reviewers off Wikipedia. We answer any editor’s question about our work truthfully. If an editor asks how a draft was written, we say so.
11. Copyright
Text we submit to Wikipedia is released under Wikipedia’s licence as its rules require. Drafts we deliver to you outside Wikipedia are yours to keep and use.
12. Liability
Our liability to you for any claim arising from an engagement is limited to the fees you paid for that engagement. We are not liable for the actions or decisions of Wikipedia editors, the Wikimedia Foundation, search engines, or any third party.
13. Ending an engagement
Either of us may end an engagement in writing at any time. The refund rule says what is returned.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States.
